Mumbly's links

Links

Updated September 16th - this page is still a bit messy (under development as some people would put it), but it has more links to our favourite web sites. A bunch of indie-pop, more indie-pop, some other nice places as well.

In no particular order:

Tweenet
Peter Hahndorf's fabulous web-site. Please make sure to visit this one, that our famous indie-pop globe-trotter built a few years ago and that is now a reference webpage in the indie pop community. Contains info about many bands such as Heavenly, Talulah Gosh, Belle and Sebastian, Field Mice, Blueboy, about labels like Sarah, Marsh-Marigold, Mind the Gap, discographies, and also details about the indiepop mailing-list - how to join, member polls, etc.

The Twee Kitten
Another great web-site made by my friend Scott, and dedicated to Indie-pop. The Twee Kitten is a sort of web-zine, with records and gigs reviews, bulletin boards and live chat, an extensive database about popgroups (photos, discographies), and also a cool record label.

Watoo Watoo
Do you remember Michael, our bassist who can play the bass with his teeth? Well this is his other band, with his wife Pascale on vocals. Light, pop and charming. They have a mini-CD out on Blackbean and Placenta, another one on Radio Khartoum and it's fab.

The Softies
One of themany delicacies offered by Rose Melberg of the late Tiger Trap.

Belle And Sebastian
One of the sites about this great band, this one made by the band themselves.

Elefant Records
Great Spanish indie-pop label.

Sarah Records
A site dedicated to the defunct label from Bristol which shattered the world of Pop in the years 1987-1994 with a political attitude, poetry, and incredible records. They released bands like the Field Mice, Heavenly, the Orchids, just to quote those few.

Shinkansen Recordings
Temple of excellent pop-music, among others Trembling Blue Stars...

Vinyl Japan
Japanese label (as if you couldn't guess), based in London, and who released many good records. This is the place to go if you want to buy the new Northern Picture Library album.

Nick Drake
Yes, Nick Drake. To accompany quiet afternoons and winter evenings.

Now would people understand if I said that I'm going to sleep for the night, even though it's 3 in the afternoon...
