Blender 3D : tutorial on making an animation repeat itself page1.

Won't you help a poor little cube in need ?

Créer un cube. Make a cube.
[shift+a, add > mesh > cube]
You may go to the next page right now as what follows shows only how to give that poor cube a chance to get a date : nothing animation related.
subdiviser_le_cube Subdivide the cube once.
rotation_autour_curseur Make sure that the scaling will occur around the 3D cursor.
[press the DOTKEY on the main keyboard]
With all vertices selected, place the 3D cursor at the center of it.
[shift+s, Curs -> Sel]
scale_point_milieux Deselect all the points.
[AKEY]
Now select only the middle points of each face.
[Go in top view, NUMPAD7, side view, NUMPAD3 and front view, NUMPAD1. Each time press BKEY and draw a rectangle around the centre of the face.]
Scale those points inward somewhat.
[SKEY, click left mouse button to set the new position, click right button to cancel scaling.]
scaling_lignes_medianes Do a second scaling, this time leaving only the eight corner vertices unselected.
cube_modifié Our cube after its make over.
