All the families bearing the name of Bachan,
Bachand, Bachant and Béchamp are descandants of
Nicolas Bachan. If you bear the name of Bashaw, there is strong
probability that
you go down from the same ancestor.

Author and his family
I am interested in the genealogy since 1994
approximately. I had the chance to have a grandfather who had
his complete genealogy,
carried out by the Drouin institute about 1950. It is a beautiful
handwritten document which contains the marriages of his ancestors.
Being a follower of data processing, I decided
to computerize this document. With time I came from there has
to constitute data base,
with the software Reunion 4 for Macintosh, containing my ancestors
and those of my spouse.
Whit this search, I discover a true passion
for the genealogy and the history of my ancestors. Search the
actions of those which
preceded us allow to pay homage to their contribution to development
of country and give again to them life... in our memory.
My search quite incomplete, but is sufficiently advanced to interest other researchers on the Bachand families to share information which they hold. This site aims to dress a window for Bachand familes and contact relative.
I am amateur of history and genealogy. In true life I am an agronomist specialized in the stock farm and feeding animals, and also, large impassioned Alpine skiing, ski touring, bicycle and adventures. I have a wife with whom I have shared everyday life and adventures for 25 years with our two children Stéphanie and Etienne.
My genealogical origins are from Jean Baptiste
and Suzanne Christin, the second son of Nicolas and Anne Lamoureux.
