Hello and Welcome to my page!

I am director and webmaster of our Dorval Astronomy Club, have been an astronomer for over 15 years, I am passionate about art, watercolors, artistic makeup and many other creative endeavours. I have a humble 4.5 inch telescope and a camera which allows me to combine both astro and my visual experience. I also get a chance to teach the passion of astronomy, which gives me great pleasure..... Below are some of my efforts in ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY......

Image of the biggest full moon in 133 years. On the 22nd of december 1999. 80mm lens, 400ASA, near 1/1000 sec.

Image of the total lunar eclipse of the 20th of january 2000. Sky Conditions were really awful, it was snowing! Taken at prime focus of a C4.5 F:8, 400ASA, 4 sec.

Mosaic Image of the Milky Way from Sagittarius to Cygnus. All images from 12th of june 1999 in Ste-Agnès-de-Dundee and taken with 55mm F:1.7, Kodak RG1000 and exposed 30 secs each.

Hyakutake

Image of the Hyakutake comet in the Bootes constellation ,back in march 96. Taken with a 55mm lens F:1.7 exposed for 25 secs on RG1000 film.

Orion constellation

Image of the Orion constellation (55mm lens F:1.7 exposed for 25 secs on RG1000 film). One can also see The Rosette (1),part of The Horsehead Nebula (2) and The Orion Nebula (3). Barnard's loop is surprisingly also visible to the left of the belt.

30th

Image taken of a lunar eclipse (with Saturn closeby) back in 96 for the 30th anniversary of the Montreal Planetarium. Lens:28mm F:2.8 for about 2 secs exposure.

Image of Halebopp in April 97 taken with a 28mm F:2.8 lens with RG1000 film exposed for 60 secs. One can see the Double cluster in the tail of the comet.

Moon Venus and Saturn

Image the moon, Venus and Saturn the night of the 20th of march 99 at the camp of Ste-Catherine-de-Hatley. Film RG1000, lens 55mm F:1.7 exposed for about 10 secs (the moon is a tiny crescent but since I did 10 secs, it is overexposed).

Cygnus

Image of the Cygnus constellation taken with a 55mm lens F:1.7, exposed for about 25 secs on Royal Gold 1000 film. Notice the North America nebula (NGC 7000) is visible in this naked eye view.

Hale-Bopp

Image of the comet Hale-Bopp taken with a 55mm lens F:1.7, exposed for about 25 seconds on Royal Gold 1000 film. (9th march 1997)

House and Orion

Image taken with a 28mm lens F:2.8, exposed for 60 seconds with Royal Gold 1000 film. One can see Orion, Taurus and the Pleiades. (9th march 1997)
