Although this film, « Sergiu Celibidache’s Garden » was specifically created for a cinematic experience with a dynamic relation between the screen and the Dolby Surround sound, its director, Serge Celebidachi, has accepted to release on DVD and video, as the demand is very strong.

When asked about this choice, Serge replies : « For me, the film as a film can only be seen in a Dolby Digital cinema, where all relations between the sound and the image are perfectly respected, just the way they were originally created. » But this film has gained today another meaning. It is also a document and many pieces of memories not only for me, but also, apparently, for many other people. I guess it will also be nice for them to be able to watch it again and again and take every time something new from it. »

The film is available today on VHS with English subtitles from Celi Production at the price of 230 French Francs.

A small book has been assembled to accompany the film, with private statements from students who studied with the maestro, an interview with his son, the director of the film and extended conversations with the maestro himself.

The book has now been translated in English and is available from Celi Production in collaboration with K films Editions for the price of 80 French Francs.
