Review from "Romanian Philatelic Studies", Vol.4, No.3, 1980, page.19:
"This well written and thoroughly researched volume on the Postal History of the Austro-Hungarian Forces in World War I, was, for many years, the most significant reference book on this interesting subject.
First there is a comprehensive classification of the various postal markings by type, followed by a numerical listing (No's 2 - 1220) of the Army Post Offices ("A.P.O.'s"), giving type, approximate time of usage and in many cases unit designations and locations, followed by a 'point' valuation. Several of these A.P.O's operated in Banat, Transylvania, Bucovina and occupied Romania at some time.
Other chapters discuss in great detail, amongst other subjects, the Siege of Przemysl, POW Camps, TPO's, Air Force Units, as well as the stamps and postal stationery used by these Forces. Of special interest to our readers should be the chapter on Foreign Legions, which mentions the Romanian troops."
