  • FCOE - The Dutch Eastern Europe Philatelic Society.: founded in 1982, its members collect stamps,postal stationery or other philatelic items of : Poland, The Czech and Slovak republic, Hungaria, Romania, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Bosnia, Slovenia, the territories of the former Soviet Union. The Society has its own magazin "Oost Europa Filatelie", issued in Dutch four times a year.

  • The Rossica Society of Russian Philately: The Rossica is an international society rounded in the 1920s and dedicated to the collection and study of all aspects of Russian philately, from the pre-stamp days of Imperial Russia to current post-Soviet philately. The society publishes two issues per year the award-winning Rossica Journal, which carries information on all facets of Russian stamps and postal history. Gary Combs compiled an excellent Table of Contents for Rossica journals 1-119.

  • RUSSIAN POSTAL HISTORY ON-LINE: a site founded and maintained by the Worldwide Society of Russian Philately (Worldwide Society of Russian Philately, a society which intends to foster and promote the exchange of philatelic information relative to  the Russian Empire and related areas of collecting). Excelent resource with (among others): LIBRARY (archive of articles, books and  illustrations as maps etc), BOOKSHOP (books published on Russian Philately and reviews), SOCIETIES (Philatelic societies associated with the Russian Empire and its successors), LINKS, etc.

  • THE BRITISH SOCIETY OF RUSSIAN PHILATELY (Affiliated to the Association of British Philatelic Societies), which issues yearly "The British Journal of Russian Philately".

  • The Society for Classical Russian Philately (President: Prof. Dr. Ortwin Greis, Bevenser Weg 2, D-21079 Hamburg, Vice Presidents: Dieter Bettner and Ingo Susemihl). The aim of the Society is to support studies in classical Russian philately. It organises special meetings on Russian philately twice a year in Hamburg. The Society issues the yearly "Journal of Classical Russian Philately"
