(this page in french)
You can download an internationanizable version of muLinux here. It is based upon the V6r4.
A directory named i18n is created. It contains all the translated informations and messages used to install muLinux. The files are:
mu.info : message like information about a feature like the
syntaxe of "mu"
mu.message : error message or information about a variable like
"Insert a floppy or [a]bort"
mulinux.msg : the starting message of muLinux
setup.info : as mu.info but for the setup
setup.message : as mu.message but for setup
The *.info is coded with the keyword alone in the first line and the "#" at the buttom of the text.
The *.message is coded as:
nnn:the message to display
where nnn is a number. Special numbers are:
997 for the significant letter to agree to a question (in
english it is "y", in french "o"),
998 for non agree (even "n" in english and french)
To use the internationalization feature you have to unpack the BOOT and ROOT (see documentation), then you can use the "mu -lang" function to choose your language. Available languages are english and french.
The "mu -i" function is improved to add LILO to all bootable floppy (depending on the size of this one).
The "mu -r" function ignore the creation of the DOSTOOLS.ZIP if the directory "dos" does not exist and the existing DOSTOOLS.ZIP is not removed.
Some messages are colored (error message with $BLINK$RED$BRIGHT, information with $GREEN, importante information like titles with "blue backward, blank forward and bright").
The initial setup process is modified to decrease the display. Only the basic asking are displayed, to obtain informations you issue the "?".
