"Statistical physics for anomalous
transport in plasmas"
This Group, with informal structures, involves
members from three countries (Belgium,
France
and Romania)
who associates their research in the following fields :
-
Tokamak physics
-
Statistical Mechanics
-
Thermodynamics
-
Theoretical physics and mathematics
-
Dynamical Systems, Chaos
-
Plasma turbulence
in the aim of an active collaboration to achieve
substantial progress in the domain of anomalous transport in hot fusion
plasmas, in view of the realisation of controlled thermonuclear fusion
The members of the group, who are directly involved
are :
-
Dr. Lucian ANTON (South
Africa and National Institute of Lasers, Plasmas and Radiation Physics,
Bucarest, Romania)
-
Pr. Radu BALESCU
(Statistical Physics and Plasmas
, Université Libre de Bruxelles, Belgique)

Besides financial and technical support from their
own Institutions, and from their Associations with EURATOM, some physicists
have benefitted from a NATO Collaborative Research Grant (Linkage Grant
LG971484) from July 1998 to July 2000 and PST.CLG.977397 from december
2000 to december 2002.
A working session has been hold in Bucharest and
Sinaia (Romania), from 6 to 15 September 1999 : "First

PROGRAM.
PLANNING
1. General sites you may consult on Fusion :
2. and on non linear physics :
3. Sites about education, science and energy (in french):
4. Professional sites for :
Physics : TIPTOP
Pilot to physics, The physics calendar, Physics around the world, The virtual
laboratory, Physics Forum, etc...
Preprints :
-
Los Alamos : The electronic archive xxx.lanl.gov
is a huge collection of preprints in various areas of physics. The creation
of this electronic library is due to Paul Ginsparg and the domain of high
energy physics and the related subjects is older and better represented
than the others. However there are many papers in the field of Physics/Plasma
and statistical physics, dynamical systems, etc. The preprints can be downloaded
in Postscript or in Latex source. The speed of downloading is usually very
good but there are also mirror sites (as, for exemple,xxx.lpthe.jussieu.fror
the site of SISSA,
Italy). They can be found on the same page at Los Alamos.
