Rashtrapati Bhavan: The official residence of the President of India is an
estate of 330 acres including 12 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens.

Central Secretariat Buildings: Close to Rashtrapati Bhavan, these buildings
are massive in structure and immense in proportion. The corridors of these
buildings, if laid end to end, would measure 8 miles in length.
Parliament House: Close to the Secretariat Buildings is this great, circular colonnaded edifice. Attendance at sessions of the Parliament is by permission or passes only; passes obtained through the External Affairs Ministry. When Parliament is not in session, groups of visitors are conducted through the building every hour from 10 A.M. to 5 P.M. Both the Parliament House and the Secretariat were designed by British architect Sir Herbert Baker. Birla Temple: About 1 mile north of Rashtrapati Bliavan, on Reading Road, this temple was built about 25 years ago by industrialist Jugal Kishore Birla. Architecturally, the design conforms to that of Hindu temples of the 10th and 12th centuries. Visitors are welcome, any time.
