What is Gryzor ?
Gryzor is a platform / action game. You are a trooper and you must save the world from the alien invaders, with your gun as only friend. You can get other weapons : Laser, 3 shots gun, Quick gun etc... This game has been cloned many times : Probotector and Contra are exactly the same as Gryzor, same levels etc...

Why is it a good game ?
As you can see, Gryzor has very good graphics, the palette of 16 colors is extremely well used (many degrades), they seem to be antialisaed. The music is very good too... and the game is far from slow. The levels are various and diffcult.

Technical points :
The game is in mode 0 (160x200, 16 colors simultaneously). There's no scrolling and the screen has been reformated (to a smaller size). The status bar at the bottom of the screen is in mode 1 (so there's a splitscreen). There's even two 3D-like parts. This game is very well programmed.
