The Fender Strat is the first guitar of the
band. She was used for the two firsts albums.
Schecter Strat Sunburst (1980-1986)
Used for Tunnel Of Love from 1980 to 1986, and
for Telegraph Road 1982/1983
Schecter Strat Red (1980-1992)
Mark had been using this guitar since 1980, in
remplacement of the Fender Strat. He played with it for Once Upon A Time In The West,
Expresso Love, Sultans Of Swing (until 1986). Then it was used for live and studio version
of the song On Every Street.
National 'O' Style (since 1980)
On the cover of "Brothers In Arms"
album, this guitar was used for Water Of Love, Romeo And Juliet, Done With Bonaparte. Both
for studio recording and for live performance.
Ovation Adamas (1985)
Used for The Man's Too Strong.
Steinberg GL-2 (1986)
Only used for Money For Nothing on last part
of the Brothers In Arms world tour.
Gibson Chet Atkins (1982-1992)
Mark used this guitar first for the Love Over
Gold album recording. He used it after on stage for the songs Love Over Gold, Private
Investigations and for the Romeo And Juliet final solo in 1982/1983.
Gibson Les Paul 1984 (1985-1986)
Used for the recording of Brothers In Arms
album, then for the tour that followed.
Gibson Les Paul 1958 (since 1996)
Used for the most part of Golden Heart album,
then used for the tour that followed for Darling Pretty, Brothers In Arms, Money For
Nothing. Also used with The Notting Hillbillies for Calling Elvis.
Gibson S400 (1991-1992)
Used for Your Latest Trick during On Every Street world tour.
Fender Telecaster Red (since 1985)
This guitar is known for Walk Of Life.
Pensa Suhr Flamed Maple (since 1988)
Mark's favorite guitar. Used first for
Mandela's 70th birthday party gig, then used for the On Every Street and Golden Heart
tours for Calling Elvis, Sultans Of Swing, Romeo And Juliet final solo...
