* Two years after "Tattoo", Jay Jay Johanson is coming back with the album "Poison", release in France on April 19th, 2000. The single "Keep it a secret", with more electric guitar, will be released in the end of February.

* ARTE (french television) will brodcast a one hour long documentary about Jay Jay Johanson on January 16. They filmed it in Jay Jay's hometown at the west coast of Sweden, in his parents house, in Stockholm and in the festival 'La Route du Rock' in Saint-Malo.

In this film, you can hear extracts of She's mine but I'm not hers, Sudden death, Even in the darkest hour, Milan Madrid Chicago Paris, It hurts me so, So tell the girls that I am back in town, an extract of The Jungle Book, Mana Mana Mana Mana, I'm older now, I guess I'm just a fool, Almost blue (cover of Elvis Costello, with his pianist), Two finger (song of Bang Bang on which Jay Jay sings), Lychee and Visa från Utanmyra. You can see as well extracts of video-clips of Milan Madrid Chicago Paris and So tell the girls that I am back in town.

* Jay Jay and his musicians plan to start recording the third album in april or may.

* Jay Jay will play a small gig with his pianoplayer at the museum of modern art in Strasbourg on January 7. It's possible they play new songs. Other plans is to start next tour in Italy and Canada in March.

* Jay Jay Johanson (and The Little Rabbits, Polar and Purple Penguin) will sing in the Shamrock festival on december 1st at the Elysée Montmartre (72 bld Rochechouard 75018 Paris - France). Informations on Shamrock.

* For the release of his new album, Wednesday, April 15, 1998 Jay Jay gave a concert at the Studio Bastille, by invitation only (it could also be seen by closed circuit television at most FNAC stores in France), during which he played the following songs:

* Jay Jay will play 21 concerts in France this spring (1998):

He will also play at the Paleo festival in Nyom (Switzerland) on July 22, and possibly at the festival La Route du Rock around August, 15.

* Jay Jay Johanson's new album "Tattoo" is being distributes more widely thanks to the help of two ambassadors: the English Geoff Barrow (Portishead) and the Scottish Robin Guthrie (Cocteau Twins). The first sinle, "Lychees", is available on the compilation "Un printemps 98", sent to the subscribers of the French magazine "Les Inrockuptibles."

* Jay Jay Johanson also wrote the music for French designer José Levy's summer collection fashion show (January 23, 1998).
