This page is dedicate to my long
time friend, Shihan Roman.Shihan Roman Szyrajew and I have been friends since near 4 decades! We have met for the first time in Montreal in the early 1969,70 at Dojo of the late Sensei Roger Lessourd in the Samourai Karate (former Kyokushin) in St-Hubert Street in QC, Canada.
All those years, we together give Karate Demo's with Andre Coulombe, Gaetan Verville, Andre Gilbert, and other sensei's in Montreal, Sherbrooke and others places in Quebec City. We also have completed in Full Contact tournaments in Fairfield Connecticut USA, and Canada under the direction of Saiko Shihan Shigeru Oyama former Chairman of the North American Kyokushin Karate Organization, and USA Oyama Karate.
We have always been very close since then, when Shihan Roman broke away from the World Oyama Karate Organization (1989). still, wee were close friends, and never had lost contact!
I will never forget the first time that Shihan Roman introduced me to Saiko Shihan Shigeru Oyama in 1980 at the Fairfield Honbu dojo,(USA) at the first moment that I saw Shigeru Oyama, I was so stunt and realize that I was in front of a man who was considered as one of the very best Kyokushin top instructor around the world, that this man had done 100 kumite and has trained so many good instructors, and champions, that we all know today became WORLD CHAMPION! Also, Shigeru Oyama was a legend standing just in front of me... whow! All these years of dreams finely came true. Shihan Roman give me the chance to met Shigeru Oyama, and this... I will never forget!
I am very happy today, to be back with Shihan
Roman IKO3 Kancho Matsushima Organization,, and working together
to build a strong organization in Canada for the IKO3 Organization and
I will do my best to help and to support him!
