Welcome to Kayaks et Nature

We have been on the river since 1994. Our small fleet of sea kayaks consists of two tandems and four solos. Excursion season begins on the 1st of May and finishes on October 31st. Weather permitting, we can be on the water for sunrise as well as for the sunset: high winds or severe weather forecasts will keep us from leaving the shore.

Our territory covers more or less 30 km upstream or down stream from Saint-Antoine-de-Tilly either on the North or the South shore of the St. Laurence River. Occasionnally, we organise trips within a 100 km radius from home. All our outings are established according to the currents, the winds and the capacity of the paddlers. An experienced guide ALWAYS accompanies the group. We never leave without a cell phone in case we have to modify the pre-established route.

The age of our clients varies between 14 and 74 years old. Experiences have shown us very clearly that younger folks find the 3 hours of paddling too much to be pleasant. We host beginners as well as expereinced paddlers and try to form groups with a certain homogeneity. Lucky kayak owners can also join the group at a lower cost.

The outings last 3 hours more or less, from the time we arrive at the beach till we arrive at our destination. The cost is $40 per person and there must be at least two paddlers in order to justify a departure. If you are alone, you may join a group already establishhed. For those who are « hooked », the 5th outing of the season is free.

Our goal is to introduce our clients to this powerful river, its flora and its fauna as well as to offer kayaking knowledge to beginners and others. A most rigourous security is imposed upon us all by this excessively seducing water surface. It is important for us that our clients return home delighted with their paddling experience at Kayaks et Nature and that they develop a taste for kayaking in safety. Since our scheduals are dependent on the tides and the winds, one must reserve a few days before in order not to be disappointed.
