The Chronoscope is a project of PARK of entertainment and discovery, as well as a Research centre devoted to Time and Time Travel

A site of several hectares with dispersed Modules in a harmonious way ; these modules are reproductions of machines to travel in time (Strip cartoons, Movies , Literature, Video games...) (see fig. As per contra)

Each module is the heart of a specific activity : most spectacular is the travel in virtual time, but there is also exposures, projections, spectacles, search (collaboration of the highest IQ of the planet with the men of science)...

The objective is to combine culture and entertainment, pedagogy and latest research, fairyhood and realism

In the heart of the Chronoscope, The Chronodrome, a track intended to accommodate the possible time travellers

Finance the PROJEcT

Concretely, at his entry in the CHRONOSCOPE, the visitor receives " a Card of mission " including ten questions or enigmas to be solved, and anachronisms to be located by visiting the various modules. The stake can be the profit of a book or a watch, or the refunding of the entrance fee if all the questions and enigmas were correctly solved.
The visit not-is thus marked out but complete. It is interactive and requests the 5 senses of the visitors.

- originals or reproductions of " machines to explore time " used with the cinema and in the comic strip, in particular " DeLorean " of the film " Back to the future ".

- history of the evolution of the reflection around the concept of time (philosophy)

- CHRONOTHEQUE where will be gathered a maximum of works, articles, comic strips, films, plays... having for topic the concept of time or time travel.

But also: exposure of original and strange sand glasses, of radiopilotées clocks, exposure and demonstration of the objects of measurement of time according to their use: metronome, timer, pendulum of failures, stop watch, sand glass, show...
The comparison between the measurement of time and a clepsydra and a sand glass, demonstration of the operation of a clock-candle, an eternal flame and " perpetual motions ", etc...
**time-out** the evaluation of hour using a " gnomon ", some quotation over the time and the voyage in the time in relief on the wall, of reproduction of table (watch soft of DALI) and of poster of film (Return towards the future, Visitor...), exposure of board of comic strip which exploit the topic of voyage in the time, a background music sonore make up of song and some music refer to topic of time (Brel, Farmer, Barbelivien, Björk, Eno, Pink Floyd...).

Lastly, the CHRONOSCOPE wants to be a place of specific events like:
- philosophical coffee over the topic of time, Sunday morning (millenaries, immortality, voyage in time...)
- a spectacle of magic on the topic of time and the voyage in time
- conferences debates
- a research and study centre over time (cfr. group KRONOS, CONSORTIUM...)
- television broadcasts (philosophical coffee...)
- film projections and series
- video vision for the midnight suppers
- itinerant part

Main attraction of the CHRONOSCOPE will be the possibility of travelling in time through virtual reality. The programme of virtual reality having for topic " displacement in time " makes it possible to the visitor to place a helmet of virtual reality on the head and to have the feeling to evolve/move in an environment corresponding at the time of the history which it will have chosen to visit.
