Egyptian Infantry will be most of the time, the strongest part of your army. Compared to their ennemies, the relatively large egyptian New Kingdom population allowed them to field big infantry corps as the main force on the battlefield, reliying on the light chariotry to provide firing-support against the more heavily armoured hittite & maryannu chariotry. Infantry is divided in two parts : bowmen and infantrymen.

New Kingdom XIXth Dynasty archery
From my Warhammer Fantasy experience, I didn't believed too much on shooting armies like Wood Elves. Deep mistake !! In WAB, the New Kingdom army is clearly more a shooting army than a Hand-to-Hand one. You need lots of bowmen !

New Kingdom XIXth Dynasty infantry
In WAB game terms, the Egyptian
infantry is nothing more than decent. It's main strong point, in my
opinion, is the throwing spears, allowing you to fight on two ranks
on the first turn of each combat. Most of the time, it's enough as
most of the combats are decided in the first turn.
I usually field infantry in units
of 4 ranks of 6 men, for a total of 24 men, with leader, standart and
musician, light armors and shields. It gives you a good 13 attacks in
any first turn of HtH and a good 5+ armor save.
Another good point : you can also
field infantry with those fearsome two-handed axes (like the third
guy from the left on the above picture).
