Nubians and Kushites are, along with lybians, the light troops of the New Kingdom Egyptian army. The play howerver quite different. The nubians are equipped with short bows and have a Ld 6 witch is rather good for skirmishers. Kushites are on the other end equipped with mixed weapons, which means under the Chariot Wars rule that they have Javelins and Bucklers.

Actually, I use them to represent another small bowmen unit. All my
skirmishers are represented with the following minis.

Kushites allies
Those minis are really good. I
like them a lot ! I must say I have lots of fun painting the animals
skins on these guys and the visual effect on the tabletop is really
strong. Note on the first picture the little variations on the animal
skin pattern. I have around twenty of them, spending a little more
than one hour painting for each. How sad that those brave skirmishers
always die so quickly !!
