The croatian national hymn has been composed by Antun Mihanovic (1796-1861). The text has been seen first time in 1835 under this title « Hrvatska domovino » [The croatian patry] in the newspaper « Danica ». In 1846, the young croatian from Glina, Josip Runjanin (1821-1878), has played this music, before than this one has been harmosied in 1891 by V. Lichtenegger. From the first year, this melody has been called as national hymn under the title : « Lijepa naša domovino », or « Lijepa nasa » [Our nice one].
