Sailing
Typical ports and harbors, dip sea and
good weather conditions: Croatia is really the country
of sailing. A lot of competitions
are available from Pula to Dubrovnik, a
lot of small islands have a paradisiac side for pleasure time.
The adriatic side has also 48 marinas with
12500 rings in sea and 7200 in land. The biggest ones have
a technical support, engines, petrol station, shops and cafés
restaurants. In the most of marinas, it is also possible to rent
a boat and learn in the sailing school.

2. Diving
Well known for the clean area and cristallin
water, the adriatic water has a lot of beautiful and wonderful
diving sites. With a light blue water, dream cricks, animals and
fishes caracterize the croatian sites. There are also few savage
and natural island, small islands and rocks: Croatia has 1185
islands, within only 66 unlived.

sand or little pebbles, small villages with many beautiful treasures
are waiting for you to discover its. The good ralations between
islands and land with ferries have an easy way access. A lot are
available, between the Elaphites, the beautiful
and small island Lokrum, Mljet, where Ulysse, from the legend,
has been retained by Calypso, Brac with a soft area with
trees and pastures, Hvar and her
typical mediterranean scenes, Korcula
and her beautiful pastures, Kornati,
with about 150 islands within 300 km2, Kvarner's
islands, the easiest to get in car from Italy and a lot
more...

4. Beaching
The best beaches of Croatia are located in Dalmatia. In a beautiful
scenery, they are the cultural patrimony of towns and villages
of the coastal side, one of the best thing in the region. De
Brela up north, Gradac down south, the beautiful
riviera of Makarska has a lot of creeks and beaches with trees.
On the Brac island, with pastures, trees, vineyards, there are
many nice pebbles beaches as " Zlatni
rat " for example. On the way to beaches with sand, pebbles,
there are very nice colors, perfums and typical scenes of the
Mediterranee sea.

5. Cultural
discovers
Croatia has a lot of architectural sites classified by UNESCO
organism, and also has old antic sites.
Dubrovnik, has the charm of her very old pedestrian town
(Stari Grad), with all arounded by big huge fences from
(XIIIe-XVIe siècle), belongs more than 2km, and large of 25m and
16 towers. Marber place, strong ways, high houses, churches, Palace,
fontains, museums, nice walks around and nice view. In
Sibenik, forms and elements of Saint-Jacques
cathédrale is representing exactly the Gothic art and Renaissance.
The Trogir town, with the grid map of streets
of the city is from the Hellenistic time, is also splendid.
In Porec, the basilique, atrium, baptister
and epicopal palace is beautiful. Split,
with her old Diocletians Palace, built in the end of the 3rd century
and the beginning of the 4th century are really impressional.
All the rest of the classified town include roman churches, mediaval
fences, gothic palace from the 15th century. The rest of the town
has also roman churches, medieval fences, gothic palace from the
15th century. The grand ampitheater from Pula has been built under
Augustus king and has been bigger under Vespasien, a fugure of
six biggest roman ampitheater still safe. More than 20 000 persons
went to the gladiators fightings after 404 years post Christ,
and still today, there are a lot of demonstrations and festivals
over there.

6. Walking
pists, backpacking
In Croatia, the nature life is a queen : the country has in fact
8 national parks and 10 natural parks which you will be enjoyed
for walks, green tourism etc... There is for example the Risnjak
national park, in the heart of Velebit, is the first one
which offer altitude walks with nights on the top. You will see
animals and plants as : bears, wolves, savage goat... In
Plitvice, there are 16 wonderful
lakes which came from one to the others and to the next one...
in in the middle of the forest. Or the walls in the Paklenica
national park, the Krka beautiful
water cascades, Brijuni island reserve,
150 unlived islands of the Kornati national
park, Mljet island under protection wher u can do some bicycling,
kayaks, canoe ...

7. Naturism
Between islands and the adriatic coast, there are a
lot of beaches just for naturist people. There are also
some special centres with modern constructions
and bungalows, restaurants or campings. There are a
lot in Istria. On Rab island, there is also a thermal
center.from 1880. You can also doing it on lots of others,
without any troubles, people are very free, as on Lokrum
island nearly Dubrovnik.
