Early flowering Ophrys (before O. araneola), known from 2 localities in Essonne, France. Very small flowers. It has been discovered this year by R. Gentric, and might be related to similar plants, still undescribed, growing in Loiret. A new species? |
This one is probably an hybrid, with O. apifera as a parent. It flowers 2 weeks earlier than the latter, and grows in a region where no other candidate to parenthood is known! The shape corresponds mainly to O. apifera, but the lip's features make me wonder... |
