Biography
Born in 1941, the 11 of november at Jallieu in the Isère department (France), Pierre Pardon entered the Beaux Arts at Lyon after normal college studies. He thereafter prepared his drawing professorship . He has been teaching for four years in Strasbourg, Paris, Ajaccio and Tunis successively and then settled himself in Corsica in 1969.
Following his father's example, he was early a pretty good painter and began to show his work from 1962 in different towns like Paris, Besançon, Rouen and St-Etienne. But it's in Corsica where he progressively leaved his brushes and devoted himself entirely to sculpture, working on wood and various stones like slate, granite, marbles and alabaster.
Living a true love story with the region of Carrara in Italia, where he often find his marble, the place he always want to go is Petra Santa. He found in the workshops of this town the true spirit of sculptur and has known some masters from whom he learned lots of tricks.
You can find that brilliant artist near Ile Rousse, living in the old railway station of Belgodere.
