This program is freeware.
This program is based upon FPCEID. I found the sources on the web (with no information about who made it). and I decide to make it more useful.
Basically, this program looks like FPCEID or PCEID, with some other features. (supporting .zip files, creating HTML sorted list,...)
It is useful for sorting your PCEngine roms : .pce, .rom, .grf, .mgd files even included in .zip files. It compares all your roms within a PATH with its own database (same one as FPCEID: 519 roms). Then, it gives you the list of the known roms, of the unknown roms, of duplicated roms (with a batch file to delete them), a list of your missing roms and a HTML file of a sorted list of your 'known' roms.
'known' means registered in the database.
the program will dump several files:
rom_list.txt
This file is almost the same one FPCEID dumped. There are the unsorted list of roms and the list of duplicated roms.
Wanted.txt
This file is also the same one FPCEID dumped. It contains your missing roms.
list.htm
This HTML file contains a detailed list of your 'known' roms. This list is alphabetically sorted.
unknown.txt
This file contains the unknown roms, they can be corrupted or simply unknown by the database. In this case, you can contact me to update the database.
Clean.bat
This is a batch file to DELETE you duplicated roms.
PCEAUDIT [<PATH1> <PATH2> ...]
If you don't give a path, PCEAUDIT will audit the current path. You can specify as many PATHs as you want (in order of preference: the files in the delete batch are selected in the latest PATHS)
This program audits .zip files, but it just look for the first .rom, .grf, .mgd or .pce file in the zip file. Thus, If you have several .pce or .rom files in your zip file, only the first one will be taken into account.
