Putting KiSS in a .lzh file

If you encounter any problem while following the tutorial please mail me to tell me what went wrong. That will help this tutorial to become clearer and easier to follow !

find the self extracting lha archive (on the Big KiSS page for example)

download it in the directory (folder) where windows is installed. It usually is "C:\windows\" directory (folder)

Launch it; it create, among other files "lha.exe"

Take note of the directory where you put your KiSS set.
Win95 users, for example you can look in the folder window:

(if it doesn't display there, search for an option that read something like "display full MS-DOS names" in the display menu ("Affichage" on the above picture))

open a DOS window (win95: start,program,MS-DOS command)

go to the directory.
For example on my computer I typed:
D:
CD \
CD internet\pageweb\web4\spc\howkiss\semkiss

Only the .cnf .kcf and .cel files are needed in the KiSS set so we'll create a new directory and put these in before putting them in a .lzh:
mkdir temp
copy *.cnf temp
copy *.kcf temp
copy *.cel temp

Go to the new directory:
cd temp

Put the files in an .lzh file:
lha a seymor.lzh *.*

Done! you now have a seymor.lzh file that you can easily distribute around.
