This year will be fondly remembered for the number of championships won: Provincial, Eastern Canadian in New Brunswick and Club provincial for some players. The cherry on the cake was beating St Thomas with a team completely drunk, in full rasta mode and no sleep. My personal favourite is a player's imitation of an overturned turtle at half time. Drinking Irish water before the game comes a close second. The B game, the previous day, was a pleasure to watch and play, in particular the beautiful first try. It started deep in our lines, flowed to the right through UNB's defence and back to the left for the try. Matt, the amazing physio, scored an other amazing try in his first game, piercing the defence on the left, kicking to himself and actually tapping the ball at full speed in his hands for a great try. By sheer popular demand, I must mention Gerry's superjackass costume, proudly worn (underneath?), by a two-time champion in his first year as coach. The final is a thing best forgotten for Bishop. They lost by sheer lack of intelligence, hitting our most critical players, wounding a few and winning two red cards, one after 10 minutes and the other just into the second half. The last minutes proved exciting as Bishop outwitted and outplayed managed to get back in the game by some nice individual performances. The Concordian latter assigned a try to the wrong player in the game. The A team results are already on Concordia's web site, here are the results for the unofficial developmental B team:
