SIDP is a non-profit non-governmental organisation that was
formed by some community members to address issues affecting the community. SIDP's main objectives are:

yo protect the Sengwer from extinction by adopting profitable and sustainable projects that will enhance education, socio-economic, family health and human rights status (eg fight against wife beating and general domestic violence, early girl child marriage and female genital mutilation) |

to protect, reserve and revitalise Sengwer language, culture, traditions, herbal healing knowledge and environment. |
