Historical Society of  Loudun Area

Founded in 1938 by Louis Charbonneau-Lassay

The oldest cultural society of Loudun has been working for 50 years, serving   the history of the Loudunais.

It has three goals:
To PROgress in research for history knowledge
To PROtect the sources of history and historical veracity
To PROmote the history of the  Loudun area

In 1997, the Historical Society 
made its headquarters street Housse Galant, in the newly renovated
building of
"l'Ancienne Comédie"
