La longue lignée de Mitou se prolonge. On parle honorablement en beauté, mais aussi en course, racing ou cousing, des sloughis de "La Horde d'Or" ou de "Montouchet de la Horde d'Or" affixe d'Agnès REY. C'est elle qui vous parle maintenant des résultats du travail d'élevage de Xavier PRZEZDZIECKI. Fin décembre 1963, juste avant les fêtes de fin d'année que m'a été offert la joie d'aller chercher KALINKA-KERBA de la Horde d'Or à l'aéroport de Marignane. Elle arrivait d'Alger. Dans les quelques jours qui suivirent, il a neigé sur Aix en Provence. Je la revois, découvrant ce nouveau paysage, surprise par ce "sable blanc" si froid, elle avançait, sautant d'une patte sur l'autre comme une gazelle. Très vite une totale compréhension s'établit entre nous et elle devint ma grande amie. KALINKA- KERBA (RI 260/576) dont MITOU était la trisaïeule attendait des petits de STEN, ce sloughi aux oreilles coupées, aux antérieurs triplement barrés des feux rituels selon la coutume tribale, venu des hauts plateaux de la région BOGHARI. Le 1er février 1964 elle mettait au monde ceux que j'ai appelé "mes premiers petits". Je n'avais jamais vu de petits sloughis à la naissance et je n'arrivais pas à imaginer comment ces petites boules de poils allaient devenir des lévriers élancés, hauts sur pattes. Heureusement Xavier était là pour me rassurer. Il n'y avait pas eu mésaliance et ils devinrent des sloughis

J'ai eu la chance de vivre avec ma première Nitouche surnommée Montouchet, stérélisée stupidement par un vétérinaire, et de rester en contact avec son frère NICK et sa soeur sable clair NACHA. Bien plus tard, en 1971, NACHA, mariée à PATCHOULI d'Aïn NAGA, devait avoir ses petits chez nous le 27 avril. Nous avons pu suivre certains : UNE BELLE, URANIE, UHLAN. - UHLAN, ce beau mâle bringé, récompensé X fois en expositions, champion de plusieurs pays européens, marié en 1978 à L'KARLA-DIANE, sloughia sable clair, elle aussi émigrée d'Iran, une des régions de sloughis asiatiques. Leur fille OLYMPE devait permettre à un éleveur français la création d'une branche de sloughis différente. Ce beau mâle est l'aïeul de la sloughia vainqueur du championnat mondial 2000. - URANIE partie près d'Aix en Provence allait donner MALIK, lui aussi vainqueur du championnat mondial de Berne en 1979, un des premiers à obtenir un carnet de courses de la Société Centrale Canine en 1980

Much later, in 1971, Nacha married to Patchoulid'Aïn Naga, should have babies at home on april 27th. We were able to folow some : Une Belle, Uranie, Uhlan. - Uhlan this beautiful brindle male, rewarded X times in exhibitions, champion of several European countries, married in 1978 at L'Karla-Diane, sloughia clear sanded, too emigrated from Iran, one the regions of Asian sloughis. Their daughter Olympe should allow to a french breeder the creation of a branch of sloughis different. This beautif male is the ancestor of the sloughia who won the world dog show 2000 in Milano, Italy. - Uranie, left near Aix en Provence was going to give Malik, victorious, he too of the world dog show in Berne (1979), one of the first ones to obtain a "racing book" from the Societe Centrale Canine in 1980.

- MALIK, MANDANE, Ô KALINE, NAÏADE, JENNA, NITOUCHE, sont les six premiers sloughis français qui obtiennent l'autorisation de courir. Fin 1980, en France, les premiers carnets de travail leur sont délivrés, puis, début 1981 ceux de l'Union Internationale de Courses de Lévriers et 1984 les carnets de la Fédération des Sociétés de Courses de Lévriers. Quelle joie pour nous, après des années de démarches, de lutte, grâce à MONTOUCHET DE LA HORDE D'OR, rejoignant les sloughis des autres pays européens, les sloughis français ne seront plus considérés en parents pauvres. Ils pourront montrer leurs compétences. Les premiers sur longue distance, presque 900 mètres, ils apportent la preuve que si leurs ancêtres chassaient sur proie vivantes, eux prennent plaisir à poursuivre le leurre. Depuis ils ont prouvé qu'ils ont conservé leur instinct. Ils sont fiers de poursuivre ce qu'ils savent n'être qu'un amalgame de tissu ou de plastique, ce leurre qui leur offre la chance de galoper, de s'éclater, de maintenir la pérénnité de la race (880 Mètres en 60 secondes 20 centièmes, Diavole de la Horde d'Or, Championnat 1994)

Maintenant, je ne cherche pas à diffuser intensément le sloughi. Je souhaite retrouver des personnes qui partagent notre Amour pour le sloughi. Des personnes qui prolongeront la chaîne et par là, nous aideront à défendre la race en la protégeant. C'est dans cette optique, que je suis heureuse de vous faire connaître Monsieur Gervais CAZIN affixe MAGISTERE et Messieurs Bernard LIGNON et Maurice CANIVENQ affixe BEN-BAHRAM. Ces éleveurs attentifs, sérieux, respectueux de la morphologie, accepte de relever le défi. Ils prolongent le type sloughis semblable aux sloughis reproduits sur les sceaux-cachets de NINIVE, ceux décrits par le standard de la race, détenu par le Maroc et homologué le 8 janvier 1998 par la Fédération Cynologique Internationale. C'est à leur tour, maintenant, de vous dire comment il en sont arrivés aux sloughis.

However one should not expect from him for the submission. He is sociable pleasant with the children, but independant. The particular lines of his character should lead us well to analyse and speak with the persons who intend to possessone of it, attracted by its elegance and beauty. The allegiance of a sloughi should win and it is for the producer before any agreement to encircle the problem. Since our return to France all the owners of our sloughis became friends. All feel concerned by our preoccupations. Now I do not try to spread intensely the sloughi.. I wish to find persons who share our affection, our love for the sloughi. Persons who will prolong the chain and there will help us to defend the race by protecting it. It is in this optics that I am happy to introduce to you two young breeders : Bernard LIGNON, Ben-Bahram breeding, and Gervais Cazin ,Magistère Breeding. These two breeders, attentive, serious, respectful of the morphology agree to take up the challenge. They prolong the type sloughi similar to sloughis reproduced on the seals of NINIVE those described by the standard of the race held by Morocco and approved on january 8th, 1988 by the FCI.
