The AAL-Cam project.

Coming soon, the technical description of the AAL-Cam, an home-made high performances CCD camera....

It will be based on a TC245 Texas Intrument CCD array, which is a frame transfert chip. It is composed of 2 areas of 244 x 755 pixels. One of the area is covered by a mask, in order to be protected from the light.

This camera which is still under developpement, will be built according to these points :

• Low cost :o)
• Fast read out, conversion and tranfert time.
• Low noise.
• 12 to 16 bits (according to the converter price and availability).
• Binning mode, and sub-frame features.
• Scan mode feature (if possible).
• Very large intergration time scale, from 1ms to several minutes(depending of the dark current)
• Easy to use control software, probably wrote on both Linux and M$. Windows.
