Tennis Borussia - TSV 1880 Gera-Zwötzen: 2 - 0
Goals: Prühs (82') 1-0, Schulz (88') 2-0
After heavy rains it was impossible to play on the usual field and the match took place at one of the nearby artificial lawn fields. The weather was bad and the match not much better. While TSV Gera played rather lively our women lacked of concentration and some of them seemed to need the winter break dearly. Only during the last 20 minutes they started to speed and then could prepare some good chances and score the releasing goals.

Another miracle: finally it is possible to get results and table of the female regional league by videotext of the local public TV-station (SFB). Look for table 244.
Miracle from 12/10/99:
Christmas is approaching, the time of the year, when miracles happen sometimes. One of them was seen today:
for the first time there was an article about the women of Tennis Borussia to be read in the stadum newspaper, distributed at the match of our men Tennis Borussia - Mainz 05 (there are no papers for women's matches). In that paper there are always features about the male amateur or junior teams, even about the cheer-leaders and some people already complained about the constant ignoration of the girls.
Well, finally we could read about them and we hope, that it will not be the last time for a longer period.

11th Round of the Northeastern Regional League:
SV Fortuna Dresden-Rähnitz - Tennis Borussia: 0 - 1 (0 - 1)
Goals: Feinbube (44') 0-1
Fortuna Dresden had an excellent day and our women were not at their highest level. About 40 spectators assisted at a rudely played match with a lot of missed chances. Well, TeBe won at the end and concluded the opening season by gaining all available points. Let us forget about this match and look forward to the return leg, hoping that the 'violets' will continue as they started the season. It will be rather difficult, but the women are very strong and will surely give their best to enjoy their supporters in the future.
