Preparation of a PhD in mathematical physics.

Subject

Dynamical systems and (multi-)fractals. My theme of research is to study the factal propertie of return times in dynamical systems. We construct a dimension, called recurrence dimension that describe the behaviour or recurrence times when the scale vary. This dimension turns out to be a topological invariant, thus it is a good number to describe a dynamical system. Furthermore, we have showed that it can give different informations than other invriant number already known (such as the topological entropy)
