St. Peter, 9 November 2001

Dear Zontians,

On behalf of the eight European Governors, it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 2nd European Zonta Seminar: "Zonta in a Changing Society: Responding to European Challenges".

The Seminar will take place 15-17 February 2002 in Stuttgart (Germany). The venue of the Seminar is the Hotel GENO-Akademie in Stuttgart-Hohenheim.

It is a great honour for us to have Zonta International Honorary Member Elisabeth Rehn (Finland) as our keynotespeaker. She will talk to us on " Women as peace builders in regions of war and conflicts".

We are especially pleased that International President-Elect Margit Webjörn will participate in our Seminar.

The eight parallel workshops will discuss topics proposed by each Governor. We hope to encourage an exchange of views on European level and to contribute to the universal aims of Zonta while acknow-ledging our national diversity. We also hope to articulate our feeling of belonging to our community as Zontians.

The Plenary sessions and the workshops will be held in English without simultaneous translation. The workshopleaders are free to give the floor for interventions in other languages, mainly in their respective native language. The workshop inscription will take place in Stuttgart.

A report on the conclusions of the Seminar will be made to the 56th International Convention in Gothenburg in June 2002.

Please find attached the official Registration Form, the Workshop List as well as the full Program.
For full information on the Workshops, we refer you to the next letter to be sent out by email in January 2002.

We look forward to welcoming you in Stuttgart 15-17 February 2002. With your active participation, the 2nd European Zonta Seminar will be a success.
